[A day after Tsukasa's graduation, he'll receive an automated email. It's from those extensive databases that give royalty free music that you can use in video games and videos. Seems like someone's bought you a couple year subscription to it!
There's a note attached:]
Happy Graduation!! Congratulations on graduating, Tsukasa! I'm so proud of you and I'm so glad I got to be part of that journey. I hope you can use this as a springboard for your future game plans. The world can always use more safe places for people to be themselves, and I know you'll make something truly great.
[Of all the congratulations and little gifts he got for graduating, this is the one that brings him to tears, and he can't even be sure why. It isn't until later that he figures it out... as he's beset upon by a memory of Bear, that tattooed man in some of his memories, offering him assistance once he's able to "log out of the game". So in that other life, he had someone supporting him like that...
More importantly, he wants to write something nice to Elliot, so he drops a DM a day or two later.]
Mr. Craig,
Thanks for the membership. I'm definitely going to make use of it. Eventually I want to be able to compose my own music for my games, but unfortunately I'm not at that point yet, so I know this will be useful...
I'm sure you're really busy and don't always have time for distractions, but if you do, I found a game that looks like something you would enjoy. It's an adventure game where you play as a bard. There are a few playthroughs on YT too if you want to watch while you're doing something else.
I hope one day I can make such a colorful world, too.
[Awww, this email. Elliot takes a moment to reread it a couple time, his hand to his chest. Tsukasa was a good kid. ]
Tsukasa,
I'm glad you like it! I thought having a music bank would be more useful while you're focusing on the game design parts. But when you're ready to start composing your own, I'll be happy to recommend you some programs!
And thank you for the game. I love the sound of it. I'm going to try to take some time to relax over the summer (really!), so I'll definitely give this game a try when I do!
